VoterVoice Insights (released 2021)
VoterVoice Insights helps advocacy professionals track campaign performance and demonstrate impact to leadership.
VoterVoice, a subsidiary of FiscalNote, is a tool that allows advocacy professionals to engage members through campaigns, surveys, petitions, and events.
Similarly to designers and other employees outside business development, advocacy professionals need to show organizational leaders that their efforts are having an impact on the organization’s goals. They also need to track the performance of their campaigns and email broadcasts in order to optimize for maximum engagement.
My Role
As a product designer on the VoterVoice project, I worked with developers, product managers, and other designers to create a robust tracking and reporting feature in VoterVoice.
My efforts included the following:
Synthesizing existing user research and extracting insights
Gathering solutions to similar problems from existing products
Creating easily digestible ways of visualizing data
Allowing users to zoom in and out to various levels of detail
Ensuring keyboard accessibility on each widget
Through this project, I improved my ability to present complex data in a digestible, accessible way.
In the following training video, starting at 2:00, you’ll see an explanation of the Broadcast Report. I was the exclusive designer on this feature. FN markets this feature as a significant competitive differentiator.
